Always something that features Nova Scotia Pork. It is so versatile and underrated.

What is the best thing about being a chef?
The lifestyle.  Each day allows a new experience.  Never a set routine.

What is the one Taste of Nova Scotia product that you can’t live without?
Smeltzer’s Honey…..I use it everywhere.

Why is it important to support local businesses?
I grew up in rural New Brunswick and we always were mostly self-supported. The freshness and quality differs greatly from imported products from foreign countries.  Also the environmental impact of trucking and shipping comes into question.  Bottom line, support your local communities! more…


Ron’s Famous Eggnog

Enjoy this fantastic homemade eggnog during your holiday celebrations this year – we guarantee you’ll love it!

Ingredients
6 eggs (separated)
4 cups Farmers Heavy Cream
2 cups Farmers or Fox Hill Cheese House milk
1 cup white sugar
pinch of salt

I love the smell of it in the bag, I love the sound of it being ground, I love how it looks being brewed, and I love how it tastes.

Before I launch further into this blog about coffee, I’d like to mention just how awesome it’s been to be able to jet around the province and meet people who are committed to promoting all of the very best Nova Scotia has to offer. 

All of the people I’ve met care deeply about the success of their respective businesses, but they also care about sustaining our provincial economy – and they each do it in amazing and innovative ways. Taste at FEED NS


Special thanks to our Taste members (Garrison Brewing and Aquaprime Mussels), staff and the friends and families that volunteered to sort food at the Feed Nova Scotia food bank today. We bagged 1352 bags of potatoes for Christmas hampers. That’s 1352 families’ Christmas dinners! Check out our Taste page on Facebook for some great photos.
