Guysborough, N.S. – The 2012 Canadian Wine Annual is out and Nova Scotia’s DesBarres Manor Inn is on the list of the best places to eat, drink and stay in Atlantic Canada.
The Canadian Wine Annual is Wine Access Magazine’s guide to Canadian wineries as well as a regional wine and food vacation planner. DesBarres Manor Inn was one of only six accommodations recommendations with a restaurant selected in Nova Scotia with the Wine Annual stating, “Beautiful waterside Guysborough is now a dining destination because of DesBarres Manor. Dine and stay at the gorgeous inn, famed for its locally sourced cuisine.”
“This has been another exciting year of recognition for DesBarres Manor Inn,” said Authentic Seacoast Company Proprietor Glynn Williams. “Our inn was included on Sharing Travel’s list of 10 of the most romantic hotels in the world, MSN Travel’s only pick in Atlantic Canada for one of 10 quick and easy Valentine’s getaways in Canada and Highway 7′s choice for Nova Scotia’s most romantic hotel. We take great pride in our hospitality, cuisine and facilities and are honoured that Wine Access has recognized us.”
In addition to DesBarres Manor Inn being recognized, the Canadian Wine Annual also acknowledged the Authentic Seacoast Company’s Rare Bird Pub & Eatery, encouraging readers to “Enjoy a pint of craft beer on the deck of the Rare Bird Pub.”
