Brooklyn Warehouse: Delicious with an Attitude

By Michael Kennedy

You can’t help but be instantly energized by the entrepreneurial spirit and vision of George Christakos, owner of Halifax’s Brooklyn Warehouse.

Founded in 2007, this restaurant has already earned a full suite of awards for innovative menu items and its great atmosphere, and George is eager to share credit for these honours with his Brooklyn Warehouse team.

Entering the restaurant, located on 2795 Windsor St. in Halifax’s North End, you can expect to step into a dining atmosphere where no detail has been overlooked. Fid is known well beyond Nova Scotia. Twelve years of operation, great reviews, and repeat business by loyal patrons from Halifax and further afield, owners Dennis and Monica have established a reputation for culinary excellence and inventiveness.  more…

Fid Resto Monday Night Supper Club

For the past several years, Fid Resto has hosted Monday Night Supper Clubs for groups, on, you guessed it, Monday nights when the Resto is closed to the public.  But there’s been an increasing number of requests from individuals and couples who want to play in the Fid Resto kitchen without having to drum up a bunch of their friends in order to book the space. more…
