Dominion Produce Ltd.

Dominion-Produce

Dominion Produce, located in the Annapolis Valley, produces fresh market carrots and onions. We also grow an heirloom variety of carrots called “Rainbow Carrots.” When planted, they grow naturally in a rainbow of colours from white, yellow and light to deep orange. Each colour has its own unique nutritional qualities. These carrots are sweet and crunchy and can be used to add colours to soups and stir-fries or as a colourful addition to a vegetable plate.

Gidney Fisheries Ltd.

Gidney-Fisheries

Gidney Fisheries is a privately held, family-owned lobster company spanning four generations of the Gidney family, located in Southwestern Nova Scotia. In 1892, Samuel Gidney began buying lobsters from local fisherman and exported them on a weekly basis via steamship to Boston, Massachusetts, and this tradition continues today. We purchase our lobster products directly from local fisherman in the Bay of Fundy and St. Mary’s Bay, Nova Scotia. We have fresh-caught lobster for 9.5 months of the year and supply our clients in the off season from our temperature-controlled lobster holding facilities in Metaghan and Centreville, with a combined 400,000+ lbs of holding.

Wild Caraway Restaurant & Café

Wild-Caraway-Restaurant-&-Cafe

Our experience in restaurants in Australia, London, Ireland and Canada has shown us that the best meals are made with the food found literally in our own backyards. Lobster, scallops, goose-tongue greens, humanely raised pork as well as garden vegetables and herbs travel the short distance from our backyard or the harbour across the street to your plate. These tastes, which can be found nowhere else in the world, inspired us to renovate our century home into the Wild Caraway Restaurant and Café. We provide guests with affordable, delicious, locally sourced meals served in a uniquely colourful setting overlooking the world-famous tides of the Bay of Fundy. See the taste.

Now in its forth year, the new Domaine de Grand Pré has won prestigious national and international awards for its wines and continues to attract local clientele as well as visitors from the rest of Canada and international markets. Domaine de Grand Pré is also winner of the CRYSTAL TOURISM AWARD OF EXCELLENCY for Tourism Services 2002.
