Quality Driven Member of the Year 2009 Taste of Nova Scotia Prestige Awards. Fox Hill Farm, a sixth generation family farm located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, is home to Fox Hill Cheese House. Located one hour from Halifax, we are surrounded by lush fields and apple orchards and spectacular view of the Minas Basin and Cape Blomidon.
Fox Hill Cheese House specializes in cheddar, plain and herbed havarti and Gouda, quark, a fresh German cheese, and fresh curds. Some of our most popular varieties include: Cranberry, Blueberry and Extra Old cheddar, Smoked, Jalapeno and Herb and Garlic Gouda, Fenugreek and Italian havarti. We also craft feta, Parmesran, a Parmesan style cheese, natural yogurt with no gelatin or modified cornstarch, and our newest product Gelato, an Italian homemade ice cream. We also offer imported cheeses, cheese accessories, a selection of crackers and other specialty products.
Fox Hill Cheese House is unique because all our products are made strictly from the milk of our own 50-head herd of Holstein cows. A small herd allows us to pay strict attention to the quality of forage fed to our cows and to the production of clean, pure milk that is drug free and hormone free.
Fox Hill Farm is now recognized as a member of the Quality Milk Program and has been frequently awarded the Dairy Farmers of Nova Scotia Excellence Award.
Fox Hill Cheese House is licensed with the Nova Scotia Natural Products Marketing Council and is federally registered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Recently Foxhill cheese was recognized in HOUSE AND HOME magazine in an article featuring ten Canadian Cheese Artisans from coast to coast.
We are excited about our new addition with ample room to sample all Foxhill products and serve our fine Italian Gelato ice cream. Watch the cheese making process unfold at our viewing window and enjoy the panoramic view from our timber frame deck. Group tours are available (minimum 10 people) by appointment. Fees apply.

Where to Find Foxhill Cheese
All Foxhill products are available directly from the Cheese House situated at our farm in Port Williams in the Annapolis Valley and at an always-expanding number of locations across the province including various wineries and specialty shops. Foxhill products also can be found at the Halifax and Wolfville Farmers Markets every Saturday morning year round and at the Hubbards Farmers Market every Saturday and Lunenburg Farmers Market every Thursday from May to October.
